Seriously…Where is my Magic Wand?!?

by Kim St.Andre

I am aware that there are some who view me like the picture above. That always BLOWS MY MIND!!!
Don't get me wrong I do feel I have a pretty magical life!
However I promise you I DO NOT Have a Wand full of "MAGICAL" Powers!

Sorry to disappoint …

Today is proof of that!

Here is my reality…

Our Christmas Tree is still up oh and yes there's all the bows and shredded bags strewn about that our cat has been using as his very own form of entertainment.
Harley (our newest added member of the family … and our first Ferret!) is one messy boy! He has a way of digging in his bedding that somehow finds it's way all over my floors throughout the house!

Shall we move on to the Kitchen?
If you didn't know any better you would think a bunch of college students live here!
The dishes are beyond overflowing in the sink and have now found their way across every available counter space!
YEP… that's right we have now resorted to eating off of paper plates for every meal (Thank You God for Costco!)

Trust me you don't even want to hear about the Laundry Room …Let's just say I am truly grateful it has a door I can close (Once I shove that pile of clothes out of the way)

To my surprise I am not stressed about all of the above & all that I haven't mentioned!
The emotion that I do feel may surprise you….

GRATEFUL

Yes I am grateful for the the mess because it means:

My kids had an awesome Christmas!
All those torn up bows and bags were wrapped around presents that brought so much fun and joy to our Christmas morning!
We created great memories with friends and family this holiday season.

Despite most of us in the house being sick just before Christmas it all came together.

Those pilled up dishes in the sink mean we had plenty of food to nourish us and enjoy!

All that dirty laundry… well that means we are clothed well.

I may not have a "Magic Wand"

What I do have is a
Spiritual Tool Box
Full of my go to tools to help keep me centered, grounded and in the flow of this Wonderful Life!

Gratitude is a major Spiritual tool for me. It's my "Go To" Tool 99% of the time.

Today is my hubby's birthday so guess what?
This messy house isn't getting cleaned up any time soon 😀
Instead we will spend the day being in the moment (another favorite spiritual tool of mine) celebrating Kelly's Birthday and being Grateful to have him in our lives.

Tomorrow we will show some gratitude for the home we get to live in and maybe run the dishwasher and do a load or two of clothes 😉

What are your "Go To" Spiritual Tools?

Wow, you just made my day! You pretty much described our house as well. I've been stressed this morning trying to get my 8-year old's room "presentable." Having just read your post, I think I'm going to sit back for a bit and just "be."
Thank you so much!

Can you explain this to my hubby, Im a mom, photographer, event planner, blogger, and run a mommy meetup group. But because I dont go to a 9 to 5 job everyday he thinks I sit at home and eats bon bons..lol He thinks the house is always suppose to be clean, hey ive got a 1 year old, 5 year old & a teenager..  Its not gonna happen..

When I need a break I go for a run as my spirital tool, clears my head every time till I walk back in the house..lol

My best spiritual tool is my faith in God. It helps me move forward to achieve things I never could on my own!

What a wonderful way to handle everything.  Be Happy!  Be in the moment!  Let it all go and just BE!!!  Love you, Kim!

Thank you for being willing to share how messy and wonderful life is when you put more emphasis on being in the moment. I love this post. Gratitude is also one of my main tools.
